A useful fit for

A traveler who wants a laptop sleeve that also unfolds into a desk support, provided the exact computer fits the chosen size envelope and a two-position tilt is sufficient.

The main tradeoff

The support is limited to two angles and depends on a size-specific sleeve fit; MOFT does not publish a laptop-by-laptop compatibility chart, load rating, lap-use instruction, swiveling base, or continuous height range.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Which MB002 size should I compare with my laptop?

Use the exact sleeve size's published laptop-body limit, not the screen diagonal alone. The standard MB002 page gives 13-inch 12 × 8.4 × 0.59 inches, 14-inch 12.8 × 9.1 × 0.7 inches, 15-inch 13.78 × 9.45 × 0.51 inches, and 16-inch 14.2 × 9.8 × 0.7 inches. The High Summer page repeats six of those standalone SKU strings but gives different 14-inch and 16-inch ceilings, with H/W/D labels: 12.6 × 9 × 0.9 inches and 14.2 × 9.6 × 1.2 inches. The sources do not reconcile the numbers or axis order. If considering a High Summer SKU—especially near a limit—measure the laptop and case and ask MOFT which published ceiling governs; neither table proves a particular device fits. The TOMBOGO Jet Black page separately lists 14- and 16-inch Laptop Carry Sleeve offers (MB002-3-13B-BK-TB and MB002-3-16-BK-TB), but publishes no laptop-body ceilings or dimensional crosswalk for those codes; do not use the standard table above as a confirmed TOMBOGO fit limit.

Can the MB002 change the laptop's working angle?

MOFT describes two positions, 15° and 25°, with manufacturer-listed screen rises of 50 mm (1.96 inches) and 80 mm (3 inches). These are two preset configurations, not a continuous adjustment range or a per-laptop screen-height guarantee. MOFT documents these positions for its standard MB002 page; the separate TOMBOGO -3 listing does not independently state stand angles or screen rise, so confirm that behavior with MOFT if selecting one of those exact codes.

Is this an attached laptop stand or a separate travel item?

The MB002 is a laptop sleeve that folds into its own two-position desk support; it is not an adhesive piece attached to the chassis. Some High Summer offers add a separately named Snap-on Phone Stand & Wallet, so verify the complete SKU and the With/Without option if that accessory matters. MOFT does not document lap use or a rotating base for the laptop support, and the additional phone item does not create either capability. The Jet Black TOMBOGO page has twelve selectors but only two are Laptop Carry Sleeve variants (the 14-/16-inch MB002-3 codes); the other ten choices are phone/case products or phone-oriented kits. Its sleeve selectors do not name an included phone accessory, and the page supplies no TOMBOGO-specific stand or fit crosswalk.

The MOFT Laptop Carry Sleeve MB002 earns a place in a laptop-stand comparison because the sleeve folds into a support for an open computer. It is a different arrangement from an adhesive panel left on the laptop or a separate metal riser: the sleeve travels with the computer and then becomes the stand. MOFT's U.S.-facing product data lists several sleeve sizes and two working positions. This is a research-based reading of the manufacturer's product information, not a hands-on fit test or a measurement of the displayed lift.

A laptop sleeve with two stand positions

MOFT says the MB002 can be folded into positions at 15° and 25°. Its product FAQ describes these as raising the screen by 50 mm (1.96 inches) or 80 mm (3 inches). Those figures describe the maker's stated positions; they are not a guaranteed screen height for every laptop, because hinge geometry and the computer's own dimensions affect where the display ends up. The two choices also change the angle of the laptop's keyboard and touchpad. They do not provide independent screen and keyboard adjustment, fine continuous height control, or a swivel base.

The practical benefit is consolidation: the computer's sleeve and its small desk support are one item to pack. In use, the sleeve itself folds into the support; it is not an adhesive piece fixed to the chassis. MOFT documents desk use in its stand instructions and shows the sleeve in both carrying and raised arrangements. It does not establish that this product is suitable on a lap or on another soft, unstable surface, so those uses are not included in this assessment.

Choose by the computer body, not the diagonal label

The standard MB002 page lists 13-, 14-, 15- and 16-inch versions, but a nominal screen size is only a starting point. MOFT publishes different maximum body envelopes for each sleeve:

  • 13-inch: sleeve dimensions 13.4 × 9.4 × 0.3 inches and listed mass 10.5 oz; laptop body no larger than 12 × 8.4 × 0.59 inches.
  • 14-inch: 14.2 × 10.0 × 0.3 inches and 11 oz; laptop body no larger than 12.8 × 9.1 × 0.7 inches.
  • 15-inch: 14.6 × 9.9 × 0.3 inches and 12.5 oz; laptop body no larger than 13.78 × 9.45 × 0.51 inches.
  • 16-inch: 15.6 × 10.8 × 0.3 inches and 13 oz; laptop body no larger than 14.2 × 9.8 × 0.7 inches.

These are manufacturer-published sleeve and device limits, not our measurements. MOFT describes the fit as true-to-size, notes that a laptop close to the selected size will sit snugly, and suggests going one size up if easier insertion and removal matter. Measure the laptop's full width, depth and thickness, including any case, against the chosen size. A product page's examples can help narrow choices, but they do not replace this dimensional comparison or create a model-by-model fit guarantee.

The Coffee material option is a documented configuration

The product data on the standard page contains 34 exact offers across size and color options, including one MOVAS™-E Coffee Bio Leather configuration, SKU MB002-4-13B-ME-CF. MOFT also lists that same SKU on a separately titled Coffee page. That page identifies a 14-inch sleeve and repeats the 14-inch dimensions, 11 oz weight, and two-position stand feature. It is therefore treated here as a material-specific MB002 configuration, not as a new support mechanism. Confirm that code and material in the exact package listing; do not assume another brown finish has the same construction.

For the standard range, MOFT describes vegan leather and fiberglass. The Coffee page uses its separate MOVAS™-E material name. Those are manufacturer descriptions, not an independent durability or sustainability assessment. The product page does not provide a drop-protection rating or a laptop-specific load chart for the sleeve-as-stand arrangement.

High Summer offers: the sleeve repeats, the phone package adds a separate item

MOFT also lists a page titled Carry Sleeve | High Summer 2025 Color Collection. Its ten offer records resolve into six sleeve-only codes and four “With” codes. The sleeve-only options are Misty Cove 14-inch MB002-1-13B-WDGY and 16-inch MB002-1-16-WDGY; Beach White 14-inch MB002-1-13B-PEWH and 16-inch MB002-1-16-PEWH; and Seafoam 14-inch MB002-1-13B-SLGN and 16-inch MB002-1-16-SLGN. Each of those six exact strings also appears in the standard MB002 page’s variant data, so the alternate color-collection page is not a different laptop-support mechanism.

The other four records retain those Misty Cove or Seafoam size prefixes and append an MS007MS color code: MB002-1-13B-WDGY-MS007MS-WDGY; MB002-1-16-WDGY-MS007MS-WDGY; MB002-1-13B-SLGN-MS007MS-SLGN; and MB002-1-16-SLGN-MS007MS-SLGN. On the exact page the option is named “Snap-on Phone Stand & Wallet,” while the six sleeve-only records are marked “Without.” MOFT lists the phone item separately at 43 g, with its own dimensions, phone/case compatibility notes and three viewing modes. Those details describe the add-on, not the laptop support, and the page gives no combined package weight. The full “With” SKU is the reliable package check; its MS007MS text is not treated as a formally verified standalone-part crosswalk.

The High Summer page repeats the sleeve dimensions and listed weights for its 14- and 16-inch versions, but it gives laptop-body ceilings that differ from the standard MB002 page despite the exact repeated standalone SKU strings. The High Summer 14-inch text says no larger than 12.6" H × 9" W × 0.9" D, and its 16-inch text says 14.2" H × 9.6" W × 1.2" D; the standard MB002 page instead lists 12.8 × 9.1 × 0.7 inches and 14.2 × 9.8 × 0.7 inches respectively. The pages do not explain the mismatch or align the axis order. Do not choose one set of numbers to promise fit: measure the exact laptop and case and ask MOFT which published ceiling governs the selected offer, especially near a boundary. The listing title says 2025 while its image descriptions still say 2023, so the page label is not used here to infer a release date.

TOMBOGO Jet Black: only two of twelve offers are laptop sleeves

The U.S.-facing MOFT X TOMBOGO Kit - Jet Black page exposes twelve mutually exclusive selector offers. Only two are labelled “Laptop Carry Sleeve”: the 14-inch option, SKU MB002-3-13B-BK-TB, and the 16-inch option, SKU MB002-3-16-BK-TB. The other ten selector choices are phone cases, phone stands or phone-oriented Cosmic Commuter kits; their use of the word “stand” does not make them laptop supports. The laptop-sleeve choices are listed with “None” in the phone-model selector. Select the exact Laptop Carry Sleeve option and full code rather than assuming that the parent word “Kit” describes a three-piece laptop package.

These two TOMBOGO codes share the MB002 family prefix, but use a distinct “-3” code suffix rather than the standard page’s “-1” sleeve variants. The TOMBOGO page confirms the “Laptop Carry Sleeve” option labels and 14-/16-inch selectors; it does not publish body-fit ceilings, sleeve dimensions, mass, stand angles, screen rise or a specification crosswalk to the standard MB002 table above. We therefore cover these offers within the MB002 review as a related sleeve configuration, not as a new support mechanism, while keeping their exact size limits and stand performance unconfirmed. Do not apply the standard MB002 14- or 16-inch body limits to a “-TB” code without MOFT confirming that they govern that offer. The shared prefix is useful for identifying the relationship, not proof that every specification carries over.

Useful for a portable desk setup, limited as a workstation riser

MB002 suits a buyer who already wants a laptop sleeve, prefers not to carry a second support, and can choose a size that fits the actual device. Its stand mode offers a modest two-choice tilt rather than a broad height range. If a work routine needs a particular eye-level height, a separate adjustable stand and an external keyboard may be easier to place independently. If the laptop stays at one desk and packability is irrelevant, a fixed or adjustable riser may provide a more direct fit for that workspace.

Before selecting an MB002 offer, check the exact size, material and finish code, the maximum laptop-body envelope, and whether a protective case changes the fit. Confirm the sleeve is the Laptop Carry Sleeve MB002 rather than the separately listed Invisible Stand, a phone accessory, or a bundle whose additional pieces matter to you. No universal chassis chart, continuous adjustment, swiveling base, or lap-use guidance is published in the reviewed sources. The source research does not claim ownership, installation, comfort, stability, fit, durability or ergonomic testing.
